Job summary

Miami Valley Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Heart and Vascular ICU. The role supports RNs/LPNs by performing assigned tasks, enabling direct patient care and participation in the nursing process.

The position offers an evening to night shift (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) with 36 hours per week. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, obtain a BLS CPR certificate, and demonstrate experience in direct patient care or PCT training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must obtain a BLS CPR certificate.
• Experience: STNA/CNA or PCT training or recent direct patient care experience.
• Currently enrolled in nursing school with at least one clinical rotation.
• Direct patient care tasks include vital signs, bathing, turning/positioning, toileting.
• Multitasking, computer use, organization and good communication are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN/LPN by performing assigned tasks under supervision.
• Facilitate direct patient care and support the nursing process.
• Document care and communicate effectively with team.
