Job summary

Join Cleveland Clinic at South Pointe Hospital in Warrensville Heights as a Patient Care Nurse Assistant (ICU). You will support licensed nurses in a 16-bed ICU, delivering direct patient care, monitors, and daily living activities in a fast-paced, teaching environment. This position requires a High School Diploma or GED and BLS certification; nursing students may be hired with BLS.

Prior military medical experience is considered. Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; obtain if not present.
• Nursing students must have BLS at hire.
• Military medical experience considered (HM/68W/4N0X1).

Responsibilities

• Provide or assist with patient care under the supervision of an RN, including vital signs, weight, ADLs, transfers, pulse oximetry, point of care testing, dressing changes, external monitoring devices and Foley catheter removal.
• Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to an RN.
• Help keep patient rooms clean and orderly.
