Qualifications

• Graduate of a PA program accredited by the ARC-PA or its predecessor.
• Current NCCPA certification.
• Current New York State license as Registered Physician Assistant.
• Basic Life Support certification.

Responsibilities

• Introduce self as physician assistant and perform initial assessment.
• Order and interpret tests and document care per policy.
• Formulate diagnoses and implement treatment plans with supervising physician.
• triage and reassess patients in the ED; provide emergency medical care.
• Communicate with physicians and document follow-up and disposition.
