Grand Canyon University invites applications for a Lab/Clinical Nursing Faculty position in the College of Nursing and Health Care Professions. The role supports clinical and lab instruction, student evaluation, and program accreditation, with travel to clinical sites as needed.

Requirements include an MSN, FL RN license or compact state, and recent ICU/acute care experience. Teaching at the college level is preferred. Benefits include a full benefits package and tuition discounts.

Qualifications

• Master of Nursing (MSN) required.
• Active RN license in FL or compact state.
• Minimum 2 years’ ICU/Acute Care nursing experience within the last two years.
• Prior collegiate teaching experience preferred.
• Evidence of professional involvement (organizations, presentations, research or publications).
• Excellent communication and ability to build relationships with students and preceptors.

Responsibilities

• Reinforces didactic content and teaches in clinical and lab settings for pre-licensure Nursing.
• Collaborates with content area faculty to document student progress toward objectives.
• Participates in grading written and Clinical/Lab performance check-offs.
• Maintains communication with program faculty and director, attends faculty meetings.
• Stays current with trends in nursing practice and education.
• Ensures compliance with program accreditation requirements.
• Upholds nursing tenets and university pillars, supports Doctrinal and Mission statements.
• Travels to student clinical sites to observe performance.
