NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in Brooklyn is seeking a Patient Care Director – RN for the ICU to lead nursing operations on a day shift. This full-time role oversees patient care delivery, staffing, and clinical governance.

The director collaborates with the Director of Nursing to set unit goals, ensure safety and quality, and maintain regulatory compliance. A strong ICU background and NYS RN license are required, with a focus on leadership and exceptional patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and Master's Degree in Nursing in related field (If currently pursuing a Master’s Degree, must be completed within 1 year of hire).
• Current New York State RN license.
• At least 3 years of acute care RN experience in the ICU.
• Demonstrated leadership competencies.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Assumes first line leadership responsibility for managing patient care on the assigned ICU unit.
• Promotes safety and quality by ensuring consistency in standards, policies and procedures.
• Collaborates to set unit goals and align with hospital strategic objectives.
• Monitors staff compliance with regulatory, hospital, and divisional requirements.
