Job summary

Mary Lanning is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for the ICU. The role requires conducting comprehensive patient assessments, coordinating care with the healthcare team, and ensuring accurate documentation.

You will advocate for patients and their families while administering medications and initiating critical nursing procedures to support patient safety and recovery. Required qualifications include an Associate Degree in Nursing, an RN license in good standing, and BLS certification; ACLS

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in an ICU setting.
• BLS certification required.
• Current RN license or NE temporary permit required; ACLS to be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and communicate findings to providers.
• Document and maintain accurate nursing records.
• Advocate for patients and coordinate with physicians, healthcare team, administration, and families.
• Initiate diagnostic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing procedures as appropriate to patient care and safety.

**Job Description:**Seeking a talented Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).This position works under general supervision while assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing care required to meet the needs of the patient.Job duties include (but not limited to):* Performs complete patient assessments and communicates to the providers.* Documents and maintains accurate nursing records.* Functions as patient advocate between patient, physicians, other healthcare providers, administration, etc., as needed, and interacts professionally with patients and family members.* Initiates diagnostic, preventative and rehabilitative nursing procedures as appropriate to the patient's care and safety.* Administers medications to patients in accordance with approved standards of nursing knowledge and competency, based on age of patient, patient's clinical condition and physician orders.* Other duties as assigned.**Position Requirements:**EDUCATION: Associate Degree in Nursing required (Bachelor's preferred). EXPERIENCE: 2 years of nursing or previous preceptorship within ICU unit at MLH preferred.CERTIFICATE, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: BLS certification required. Current registered nursing (RN) license or Temporary permit from the State of NE required. ACLS certification to be obtained within 6 months of hire.
