Job summary

The Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital Association is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Pediatrics teams. Under supervision, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet patient needs.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, documenting records, advocating for patients, and administering medications per orders. Preference given to candidates with PCU experience and a BSN; BLS and NE RN license required.

Qualifications

• Must have an Associate Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Preference given to candidates with prior PCU experience.
• BLS certification and active RN license in NE or compact state.

Seeking a talented Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on the Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Pediatrics. This position works under general supervision while assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the nursing care required to meet the needs of the patient.

Job Duties

• Performs complete patient assessments and communicates to the providers.
• Documents and maintains accurate nursing records.
• Functions as patient advocate between patient, physicians, other healthcare providers, administration, etc., as needed, and interacts professionally with patients and family members.
• Initiates diagnostic, preventative, and rehabilitative nursing procedures as appropriate to the patient's care and safety.
• Administers medications to patients in accordance with approved standards of nursing knowledge and competency, based on age of patient, patient's clinical condition and physician orders.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing required (Bachelor's preferred).
• Experience: Previous clinical experience in progressive care unit is preferred.
• Certificate, Licenses, Registrations: BLS certification required. Current registered nursing (RN) license or temporary permit from the State of NE required. Completion of Basic Arrhythmia class and ACLS within 1 year of employment is required.
