Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within scope of practice and supervise patient/family teaching.
• Direct and guide nursing staff while maintaining standards of care in the ICU.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient condition, monitoring, and diagnostic results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
