Henry Ford Health in Detroit/Southfield is seeking a Nurse Extern for the ICU. This part-time, on-site role supports a 24-bed ICU with neurosurgical and neurotrauma patients and requires current nursing enrollment and clinical experience.

You will work under a Registered Nurse to plan and deliver patient care, respond to emergencies, and participate in ongoing education to grow clinical nursing skills.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED equivalent or enrolled in Henry Ford Health Early College Program with two clinical rotations.
• Enrolled in an accredited school of nursing with completion of two clinical rotations, one in Med/Surg in an acute care setting.
• Current Health Care Provider Certification.

• Assist the Registered Nurse in planning and implementing patient care using the nursing process.
• Perform specific patient care duties to meet safety and comfort needs.
• Respond to emergent situations according to established procedures.
• Provide input to the RN to enhance patient care plans.
• Participate in continuing education to advance your nursing skills and knowledge.
