Cook County Health is seeking a Nurse Coordinator II to oversee all aspects of patient care in a designated Medical Intensive Care Unit. You will supervise nursing staff around the clock, manage clinical supervision, budgeting, and quality service delivery for the unit, and act as the day-to-day manager for nursing staff within the ICU.
The role requires a BSN, Illinois RN license, ACLS and CPR certifications, and 5+ years of nursing experience with 3+ years in supervision, including
Qualifications
- BSN from an approved nursing program.
- Current Illinois RN license; active as of time of interview.
- ACLS certification through AHA; CPR certification through AHA.
- Minimum 5 years of hospital nursing experience; 3 years in supervision/charge nurse.
- 2+ years in trauma/critical care settings.
Responsabilités
- Oversees patient care in a designated ICU on a 24-hour basis.
- Directs nursing staff, budgeting, and quality service delivery.
- Serves as day-to-day manager for nursing staff in the ICU.
- Reviews collective bargaining agreements and participates in labor relations as needed.
- Hires, trains, and disciplines nursing staff within union and hospital policies.
