Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center in Englewood Cliffs, NJ seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for ICU Level I on the night shift. This staff position emphasizes leadership in care coordination, adherence to standards and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.

Start ASAP; scheduled 7 PM–7:30 AM, 11.5 hours per shift. Requirements: New York RN license, ADN with BSN preferred, 1–2 years ICU experience, BLS and infection control training, strong English communication and data-entry skills.

Qualifications

• New York State RN license.
• Associate degree required; BSN preferred.
• 1-2 years ICU experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) training.
• Infection control training; certification in specialty preferred.
• Effective English communication skills.
• Ability to use basic data entry and retrieval systems.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates leadership in coordinating and delivering patient care.
• Coordinates interdisciplinary plan of care and ensures a documented plan for all patients.
• Maintains 100% completion of patient care assignments per standards.
• Performs admission assessments within 8 hours and documents data.
• Engages in performance improvement activities and professional development.
• Develops and updates plans of care within 24 hours of admission.
• Administers medications per policy and ensures patient safety.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families and health care team.
• Participates in unit-based performance improvement initiatives.
