Job summary

Atlantic Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team in patient care at our Newton Medical Center in Newton, NJ. The role involves monitoring patients, administering medications, maintaining accurate records, and educating patients as part of comprehensive care.

Preferred candidates hold an accredited nursing degree, RN licensure, and BLS certification, with ASN nurses encouraged to pursue a BSN within five years. ACLS may be required for specialty areas.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse
• BLS certification
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred; ASN nurses must complete BSN within five years
• Master’s degree in nursing or related field preferred
• ACLS certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintains accurate, complete health care records and reports.
• Administers medications to patients and monitors them for side effects and reactions.
• Prescribes assistive medical devices and related treatments.
• Monitors, reports, and records symptoms or changes in patient conditions.
• Assesses, implements, plans, or evaluates patient nursing care plans with the healthcare team.
• Records patient vital signs and medical information.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
