Job summary

Texas Health HEB in Bedford, TX is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the ICU on the night shift. This full-time role (36 hours weekly) requires a nursing degree and active RN licensure. The unit provides high-acuity care with ongoing education, simulations, and 24/7 intensivist support.

Responsibilities include planning and delivering nursing care using established processes, with emphasis on safety, patient-centered care, and coordination across shifts for seamless transfers.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred.
• RN licensure required for Texas Residents or eligibility to practice in Texas.
• ACLS, NIHSS, CPI training or certifications required within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients using the Nursing Process.
• Assesses the patient.
• Plans the care of the patient.
• Intervenes as appropriate.
• Evaluates intervention effectiveness.
• Implements age-specific safety and infection control measures.
• Maintains continuity of patient care across shifts and during transfers.
