Qualifications

• Associates or Diploma in Nursing required.
• BSN within 60 months of hire or 5+ years RN experience required.
• Graduate from an NLN/CCNE accredited institution required.
• 2 years RN experience required.
• Travelers – minimum 13 weeks full-time assignment.
• ACLS certification required.
• BLS certification and unit-specific certification as required by specialty area.
• State Licensure as a registered nurse in Arizona upon hire.
• National certification for unit-specific population preferred.
• Knowledge of stroke symptoms and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for ICU patients on night shifts.
• Record patients' medical histories and symptoms.
• Operate medical equipment and monitor patient conditions.
• Administer treatments, medications, therapies, and IV fluids.
• Establish, implement, evaluate, and revise individualized, family-centered care plans.
• Monitor patients and document observations, interventions, and data.
• Initiate emergency and resuscitative measures under standing orders.
• Educate patients and families on illness management and post-treatment care.
• Provide direction to licensed practical nurses and nursing aides.
• Precept new-hire staff and support competency completion.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
• Develop and evaluate evidence-based standards of care.
