Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking an RN Clinical Nurse for the Critical Care unit. The role supports an interdisciplinary team to provide individualized, high-quality patient care during night shifts from 7pm to 7am.

The position requires nursing licensure, BLS and ACLS credentials, and commitment to evidence-based practice, patient advocacy, and professional development within a Wellstar framework.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing or diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Current RN license (single state) or compact license.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred/required.
• Less than 1 year of completed nursing hours or experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes, planning, implementation, evaluation) using evidence-based practice for individualized care.
• Delivers relationship-based, patient-centered care reflecting cultural diversity.
• Partners with patient and family using bedside shift reports, rounds, and patient teaching to align goals.
• Practices in line with current clinical standards and Wellstar policies.
• Coordinates safe, quality care with interdisciplinary teams and participates in continuous improvement.
