Position: Registered Nurse - Advanced Skills / ICU RN

Summary: Provides quality care to critically ill patients through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Acts as a patient advocate and supervises care provided by others. Develops and updates care plans in coordination with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Applies critical thinking to promote positive outcomes, ensures patient education, and participates in discharge planning.

• Maintain nursing standards and hospital policies
• Assess patients on admission and refer to other disciplines as needed
• Develop and update nursing care plans
• Manage restraints and ensure proper patient positioning
• Document assessments, care plans, and pertinent information accurately
• Use biomedical equipment correctly
• Deliver safe and effective patient care, complete assignments timely, and demonstrate teamwork
• Obtain consents and ensure informed decisions
• Receive and verify physician orders, follow through to ensure execution
• Recognize and respond to patient changes in condition and initiate emergency protocols
• Complete assessments and documentations as per policy
• Report observations accurately to appropriate personnel
• Administer medications knowledgeably, including recognizing arrhythmias
• Supervise and evaluate nursing care
• Assist with procedures and tests, ensure equipment safety and cleanliness
• Participate in orientation and performance evaluations
• Assist team members and coordinate care with other departments
• Implement emergency measures for adverse developments

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited RN program
• Current state RN licensure
• BCLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum one year of critical care experience
