Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC seeks a Nurse Practitioner to join the Critical Care team in a full-time role (40 hours per week). You will perform comprehensive assessments, coordinate care, and participate in a Q3/Q4 on-call rotation with weekend coverage, in a cardiothoracic setting.

Qualifications

• Must have or be eligible for a DEA license.
• Approved to practice as a Nurse Practitioner.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required.
• Strong critical thinking, interpersonal skills, and prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial and periodic medical history, physical examinations, and daily assessments.
• Records findings of examinations and plan of care.
• Performs a wide range of surgical and/or medical procedures.
• Writes prescriptions and administers medications.
• Orders and interprets lab and radiology tests.
• Determines treatment plans and documents patient encounters.
• Contributes to meetings and policy development when requested.
