Job summary

The Baptist Health ICU is seeking a Patient Care Technician to assist with basic patient care, monitoring, and hygiene at the bedside. You will be part of a dedicated care team, communicating effectively with patients, families, and staff.

The role is night shift (1830–0700) with a bi-weekly 72-hour schedule. We value compassion and strong communication, and provide CPR and related skills training on the job.

Qualifications

• 12 college level credit hours with a passing English Composition grade and a 2.0+ GPA.
• Healthcare experience preferred but not required.
• Service industry experience preferred but not required.
• CPR, skills training, Crucial Conversations, and Hospitality in Healthcare will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients and family with basic care, monitoring and hygiene.
• Support the patient care team to ensure complete, quality care.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families and healthcare team.
• Engage with patients at the bedside and respond to needs efficiently.
