Job summary

University of Washington Medical Center-Northwest is hiring a Night Shift Registered Nurse for our ICU in Seattle, WA. The role offers a 3x12 schedule (7:00pm–7:30am) across 36 hours weekly, with weekend shifts required and a strong emphasis on collaborative critical care.

The ICU handles diverse cases, including septic shock, post-cardiac arrest, and acute respiratory failure, with 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratios and close teamwork with physicians and CNAs.

Qualifications

• 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience, or equivalent nursing experience on a high acuity critical care unit.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside physicians, intensivists, social workers, and care managers.
• Follow evidence-based nursing practices.
• Provide bedside care for critically ill patients, including septic shock, post-cardiac arrest, acute respiratory failure, and strokes.
• Monitor and administer medications and IVs.
• Provide personalized care with compassion, dignity, and respect.
