Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. is seeking an ICU Registered Nurse in Texas to provide critical care to adult and geriatric patients in a high-acuity setting. ADN required; BSN preferred; Texas RN license in good standing; minimum three years ICU experience.

You will perform assessments, develop care plans, coordinate with physicians, monitor patients, manage emergencies, and document in EMR. Certifications include BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale within orientation.

Qualifications

• ADN required.
• BSN preferred.
• Current Texas RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of three years ICU nurse experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• BLS – required.
• ACLS – required.
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification required within orientation period.

Responsibilities

• Performs assessment/data collection focusing on physiologic, psychologic and cognitive status of the critically ill patient.
• Formulates a goal directed plan of care based on nursing diagnoses and patient outcomes.
• Implements care to reach desired patient outcomes.
• Monitors patient response to treatment and communicates changes to the provider.
• Collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to facilitate timely evaluation, treatment, admission, transfer, or discharge.
• Documents assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR.
• Maintains compliance with safety, infection control, and hospital policies.
