Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse at Jersey Shore University Medical Center to provide evidence-based nursing care and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team. The role emphasizes patient-focused care, accurate documentation, and education to patients and families.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license required.
• BLS/CPR certification within 60 days of hire.
• Minimum 6 months of nursing experience or active participation in Hackensack Meridian Health Nurse Residency program.
• Critical care nursing experience preferred.
• ACLS preferred.
• CCRN preferred.
• BSN in progress or willing to acquire within three years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices according to evidence-based research, policies, and standards of care to ensure safe, excellent patient care.
• Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues and health care team regarding patient status and plan of care.
• Medication administration using bar-scanning and documentation technologies to ensure safe delivery of medications.
• Electronic documentation of patient assessments, plan of care, interventions, and evaluation.
• Patient and family education to promote health, wellness, and disease management.
• Multidisciplinary discharge planning to ensure safe transition and continuum of care.
