Job summary

Qualifications

• PA: Graduate of ARC accredited Master’s Degree or DSc Physician Assistant Program preferred
• NP: Graduate of an accredited MSN or DNP Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program for adults
• Certification: PA-C or NP credential as applicable
• License: Current and unrestricted PA or NP license with prescribing authority (NC)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical services for critically ill adult patients in the ICU.
• Perform exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, document findings.
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
• Communicate with families and provide patient-centered care.
• Participate in quality improvement and clinical research activities.
• Adhere to Duke policies and regulatory requirements.
