Job summary

Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality nursing care on a rotating day/night schedule. You will assess patients, coordinate with the care team, and support families while adhering to safety and infection-control standards.

The role requires flexible hours (7pm-7am and 7am-7pm, 72 hours per two weeks, every 3rd weekend/holiday) and may include a $15,000 sign-on incentive and access to student loan repayment programs.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions and communicating the care plan to the health care team.
• Develops nursing care plans by assessing patients and documenting condition and needs.
• Teaches patients and families about healthcare requirements and self-care skills.
• Evaluates patient care by adhering to standards and adjusting plans as needed.
• Maintains a safe patient care environment and adheres to policies and regulations.
• Documents patient care services in records.
• Keeps equipment and supplies ready and maintained.
• Performs with minimal supervision and collaborates across departments.
