Highmark Health's Allegheny General Hospital is seeking an experienced Float Pool RN for ICU coverage. The role supports all ICU areas, with 32 hours every two weeks, including rotating weekends and holidays per policy.

As part of the Float Pool, you will mentor and precept nurses, collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, and provide critical care to high-acuity patients. This position requires Pennsylvania RN licensure, ACLS, CPR, and clearances; unionized environment with Magnet-recognized

Qualifications

• 3 years acute care nursing experience required in ICU
• Current PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure via eNLC
• CPR certification
• ACLS certification
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
• CPR certification (American Heart Association)
• ACLS - American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates clinical assessment skills and care planning.
• Provides safe and effective care for the age population served.
• Directs and manages activities of the patient care delivery by the team.
• Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team for the plan of care from admission through discharge.
• Assesses learning needs of patient and family and provides education based on age and culture.
