Job summary

Allied Veterinary Emergency Hospital in Tallahassee, FL is seeking experienced ICU and Emergency Veterinary Technicians for daytime shifts. You will manage critically ill and injured patients, assist with surgery, perform diagnostics, and communicate with worried pet owners.

You’ll work with multiple DVMs in a fast-paced environment, triaging emergencies, stabilizing patients, and providing updates to owners while growing your emergency medicine skills. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of prior experience as Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician.
• Experience in emergency/ICU settings preferred.
• Ability to work with multiple DVMs and support staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage critically ill and injured hospitalized patients.
• Monitor patients and provide prescribed treatments.
• Perform diagnostic sampling, testing, and imaging.
• Assist with surgery and venipuncture tasks.
• Provide daily progress updates to pet owners.
• Support Veterinary Assistants and other team members.
• Collaborate with DVMs for stabilization and treatment plans.
