We are looking for Veterinary Technician(s) to join our ICU and Emergency teams for fast‑paced afternoon, evening, and overnight shifts.
- Role: Veterinary Technician
- Status: Full time
- Salary: Negotiable, based on experience & licensure
- Schedule: 8a-8p Thursday, Friday, every other Saturday, and Sunday. Days and hours can be flexible. (We are a 24/7 hospital.)

Allied Veterinary Emergency Hospital is located in Tallahassee, FL. We serve the Big Bend region of North Florida, South Georgia, and parts of Southern Alabama.
2 years of prior experience working as a veterinary assistant or technician is required.
ICU Veterinary Technician at Allied
- Manage critical ill and injured inpatients
- Perform diagnostic sampling, testing, and imaging
- Venipuncture
- Surgical prep and assistance
- Work with multiple DVMs to stabilize emergency patients
- Closely monitor and provide treatments to critically ill patients; report changes to DVM
- Update owners on progress daily
- Medical Math
- Manage veterinary assistants, perform VA duties as needed
Emergency Veterinary Technicians at Allied
- Triage and stabilize critical emergency patients
- Work with multiple DVMs to stabilize emergency patients
- Venipuncture
- Medical math
- Create and explain treatment plans and financial estimates alongside DVM
- Manage veterinary assistants, perform VA duties as required
- Keep owners updated on patient status
- Surgical prep and assistance
Overnight Technicians work with a limited team and must be able to perform ICU, Emergency and reception duties.
