Job summary

Bronson Battle Creek Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical ICU to join the CCU/Progressive Care team as a PRN, per-diem, variable shift. The unit focuses on life-threatening conditions with multidisciplinary care and state-of-the-art equipment.

Responsibilities include clinical assessment, planning, and coordination of care with the healthcare team, documentation, and patient/family education.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred, must obtain within 8 years of hire.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Michigan.
• BLS certification required by core orientation.
• Critical care or ALS is required for some RNs.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, diagnosing, implementation and evaluation to deliver patient care.
• Coordinates care with other professionals and delegates tasks within the scope of nursing practice.
• Documents nursing care, patient responses and resource needs during each tour of duty.
• Ensures safety, comfort and education for patients and families.
