Job summary

LTC Charles S. Kettles VA Medical Center is seeking a Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN) - Critical Care aligned under Patient Care Services.

The role focuses on direct care for acutely and critically ill patients with high-intensity monitoring and collaboration across disciplines. Qualifications include English proficiency, graduation from an accredited nursing program (ACEN/CCNE), and possession of a US RN license.

Qualifications

• English language proficiency required.
• Graduate of nursing program approved by ACEN or CCNE at time of graduation.
• State license as registered nurse required after appointment; temporary GNT option may apply.
• Foreign nursing education requires degree evaluation for equivalency.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent, evidence-based care to acutely/critically ill patients.
• Direct nursing education, orientation, competencies and participate in quality improvement.
• Collaborate with patient, family and interdisciplinary team for safe transitions of care.
• Monitor patients using invasive and noninvasive monitoring; apply high-intensity care.
• Direct other providers and ensure effective care across the health care continuum.
