Job summary

MelroseWakefield Hospital in Melrose, MA is seeking an experienced ICU RN to provide high-quality care for critically ill patients in a 12-bed unit. The role covers evenings and nights with a 36-hour work week and requires Massachusetts RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS.

The RN will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and execute individualized care plans. Responsibilities include ongoing assessments, critical care monitoring, documentation, and patient/family education.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts RN licensure is required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience, preferably in critical care.
• BSN preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nurse care to ICU patients per physician orders.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Monitor patients on vents and hemodynamic support.
• Document care accurately and communicate with the care team.
• Mentor/ Precept new staff and support department initiatives.
• Participate in performance improvement activities.
