Responsibilities

• Formulates plan of care and follows patient care protocols considering physical, psychosocial, educational, and discharge needs.
• Performs admission assessment and documents findings.
• Initiates and adjusts care plans and participates in weekly care conferences.
• Explains nursing interventions and provides education to patient/family.
• Provides discharge instructions and documents appropriately.
• Operates and monitors life-support equipment and readings as required.
• Responds to life-threatening situations following established protocols.
• Manages central venous catheters and PICC lines as needed.
• Completes patient care assignments and documents accurately.
