Job summary

The Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse for ICU care in the New York area. You will assess and diagnose patient needs, plan and implement interventions, and guide the care team to achieve outcomes.

Responsibilities include IV therapy, arrhythmia management, hemodynamic monitoring, and discharge planning. Requires NY RN license, 3+ years telemetry Med/Surg experience, and ICU/PCU background.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Registered Nurse license and current NY registration.
• Minimum 3 years telemetry Med/Surg experience with BCLS/ACLS.
• Critical care experience required; ICU/PCU preferred.
• Completion of full Critical Care course and certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent care in the ICU based on nursing theory and research.
• Deliver professional nursing care to critical patients including IV therapy and medications.
• Perform nursing assessment from interview, exam and records review.
• Develop goal-oriented care plans with patient participation.
• Coordinate care activities, teaching, rounding and discharge planning.
• Intervene in arrhythmias, cardiac arrest, pain and complications per protocol.
• Assist in standards of care development and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with care team to ensure efficient patient care delivery.
