Job summary

VOLTO Consulting is seeking a Registered Nurse for a contract-to-hire role in New York, providing care in ICU/telemetry on 3x12 shifts. The nurse will prescribe, delegate and coordinate all nursing care as defined by the NYS Nursing Practice Act.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Critical Care nursing experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient condition, delivery of care and documentation per nursing standards.
• Plans care needs including admission considerations and education for patient/family.
• Responds to codes and medical alerts as assigned in critical care settings.
• Administers medications and manages treatment modalities within scope of practice.
• Evaluates patient response and revises care plans collaboratively with the health team.
