Responsibilities

• Maintains the standard of nursing care and adheres to hospital policies and nursing department procedures.
• Assesses the patient on admission and coordinates referrals to rehabilitation and nutritional services.
• Develops and updates the nursing care plan with input from patient, family, and interdisciplinary team.
• Manages patient safety, including restraints, positioning, and documentation of assessments in the EMR.
• Administers medications with knowledge of action, side effects, dosages, and routes per ICU policies.
• Responds to emergencies, initiates appropriate actions, and notifies physicians as needed.
• Ensures a clean, safe environment and proper equipment handling.
• Provides patient education and participates in discharge planning.
