GhostRx is seeking a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant to join the Med-Surg ICU at the Phoenix VA Health Care System in central Phoenix. You will provide hands-on personal care to critically ill Veterans under RN supervision, performing bathing, vital signs, glucose checks, mobility assistance, and support with admissions and transfers.

This role requires state CNA certification, BLS, 1 year of CNA experience (ICU/acute care preferred), and ability to work 12-hour day or night shifts

Qualifications

• Completion of a state-approved nursing assistant training program and current CNA certification.
• Arizona CNA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of CNA experience, with acute care hospital or ICU experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition patients for safety.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Must pass a test-based clinical competency assessment prior to submission and provide professional references.

Responsabilités

• Provide personal care to ICU Veterans, including bathing, oral care, skin care, toileting, and repositioning every two hours.
• Obtain and record vital signs, weights, blood glucose readings, and intake and output; report abnormalities to RN.
• Assist with patient mobility, ambulation, and transfers using lifts and safe patient handling techniques.
• Assist nursing staff with admissions, transfers, discharges, and post-mortem care.
• Support patients with meals, feeding, and hydration per dietary orders and aspiration precautions.
• Maintain a clean, stocked, and safe patient environment and set up rooms and equipment.
