Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Augusta in Georgia is seeking an ICU Charge Nurse or ICU Clinical Coordinator to lead patient care on the unit with a focus on quality, safety, and collaboration with leadership.

You will drive throughput, coordinate staffing, mentor nurses, and support clinical initiatives to improve outcomes and the patient experience in a high-acuity ICU.

This role requires a current RN license, ACLS and BCLS certifications, and a minimum of two years of hospital ICU experience.

Qualifications

• RN with an ADN or BSN and valid state licensure.
• Minimum 2 years of hospital nursing experience in an ICU setting.
• Ability to coordinate patient care and lead a nursing team.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
• Participates in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
• Collaborates with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
• Supports the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
