Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Augusta, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks an ICU Charge Nurse/ICU Clinical Coordinator to lead patient care initiatives and collaborate with management to improve outcomes. You will influence staffing, admissions, and quality through open communication and strategic actions.

Eligibility includes RN licensure (ADN/BSN), ACLS and BLS within 30 days, and at least 2 years of nursing experience in a hospital setting. Benefits and career development are highlighted in the program.

Qualifications

RN license or degree (ADN/BSN) required.
ACLS within 30 days of start date.
BLS within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure throughput and high-quality, patient-centered care.
Participate in ongoing assessment of quality of patient care services in the unit with the management team.
Collaborate with subject matter experts and managers to support teamwork and improved outcomes.
Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when needed.
Operationalize nursing strategies to improve engagement (e.g., rounding, hourly rounds).
Provide recommendations on interviewing, selecting and training staff; support training, conflict resolution, policy compliance and evaluations.
Assist with staff scheduling and labor management based on patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
Support inventory control and management of supplies and equipment.
