Job summary

The Staff Pad is partnering with a leading healthcare system in Wisconsin to hire Registered Nurses for ICU, Critical Care and Step-Down/Progressive Care units. $36–$51 per hour across multiple shifts, with Full-Time, Part-Time & PRN opportunities.

Qualifications

• ADN or BSN from an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in Wisconsin or eligibility through a compact license.
• Completion of Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
• 3+ years practicing as an RN in a comparable setting for experienced nurses.
• ICU, critical care, step-down, progressive care, telemetry or other high-acuity nursing experience.
• Certification in specialty preferred.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS, PALS or NRP preferred based on primary department.
• New graduate RNs are encouraged to apply; experienced nurses transitioning from other acute-care settings are also encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to high-acuity patients.
• Care for patients with drips, chest tubes, central lines and other specialized interventions.
• Continuously assess patients and recognize changes in clinical condition.
• Manage patients requiring advanced monitoring and therapies.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team.
• Coordinate admissions, discharges and patient transfers.
• Educate patients and families throughout the care process.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Promote patient safety and evidence-based nursing practice.
