Job summary

The Staff Pad is partnering with a leading healthcare system to hire Registered Nurses (RNs) for ICU, Critical Care and Step-Down/Progressive Care units in the Wausau, WI area. Earn $36–$51 per hour with full-time, part-time and PRN opportunities across multiple shifts.

New graduate RNs are encouraged to apply, with opportunities to develop ICU, cardiac and progressive-care skills and to advance into leadership or specialty roles.

Qualifications

• ADN or BSN from an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in Wisconsin or eligibility through a compact license.
• Completion of a Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
• 3+ years practicing as an RN in a comparative high-acuity setting.
• ICU/critical care/step-down/telemetry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to high-acuity patients.
• Care for patients with drips, chest tubes, central lines and other interventions.
• Continuously assess patients and recognize changes in condition.
• Manage admissions, discharges and patient transfers with the care team.
• Educate patients and families throughout the care process.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and promote patient safety.
