Job summary

Three Rivers Medical Center in Louisa, KY is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in ICU/CCU for a PRN Day shift (7:00am - 7:00pm). You will coordinate care across disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care, monitor and document patient conditions, and administer medications within your scope.

You will also assess discharge planning needs with the healthcare team and educate patients and families about conditions, medications, and self-care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Requires an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Must have a license to practice professional nursing in Kentucky.
• Current BCLS and ACLS upon hire.
• Interpersonal skills to interact with patients, guests, physicians, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care as the primary liaison of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition using computerized documentation.
• Perform patient tests and administer medications within the RN scope.
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning with the healthcare team.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, medications and self-care.
