The position requires a California RN license, BLS and ACLS within 3 months, and NIH Stroke Scale Certification A within 3 months.

Qualifications

• Must hold a California RN license.
• BLS and ACLS within 3 months of hire.
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification A within 3 months of hire.
• New Grad RN program available; all new grads/re-entry/new to US must complete.
• One year of critical care experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Stroke education: 8 hours annually for those on the unit.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement patient care for assigned patients.
• Assess biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care and education needs.
• Develop and revise care plans according to unit standards.
• Deliver safe and efficient nursing care and collaborate with the care team.
• Participate in weekend rotations as required.
