Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital is seeking an experienced Nursing Manager to supervise departmental operations and coordinate shift activities for Nursing. This role promotes the mission and values while mentoring staff under the Clinical Manager/Director.

You will lead staffing, ensure patient care quality, and collaborate across units to support bed management and patient flow. The ideal candidate has 3+ years RN experience with leadership abilities and certification in relevant nursing

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years RN experience preferred.
• Leadership and effective communication preferred.
• Experience in a high-acuity setting with strong clinical judgement and attention to detail.
• Certification within area of expertise or practice preferred (Nursing Management, CCRN, CEN, etc.).

Responsabilités

• Advocate for patients and families, especially in complex clinical situations.
• Maintain visible presence with patients, families, and staff across the hospital.
• Initiate, coordinate, and oversee staffing for assigned departments.
• Lead staffing huddles with nursing leadership and adjust staffing for safety and coverage.
• Prioritize patient safety in all staffing decisions.
• Identify waste and act as a financial steward for staffing decisions.
• Collaborate with Pulse Center to support bed management and patient flow.
• Prioritize patient condition and risks and assist with bed placement.
• Round on units to assess operational needs and barriers to care.
• Facilitate timely discharges and patient throughput.
• Lead investigations on safety events, complaints, and operational issues.
• Promote quality and safety and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Educate and mentor staff to promote accountability and safe care delivery.
• Assume patient care assignment when needed.
• Perform other duties to support hospital operations.
