Job summary

Idaho Falls Community Hospital is seeking a Critical Care Unit Supervisor to lead ICU/IMC operations, support the nursing manager, and ensure safe, efficient patient care. The role blends clinical oversight with administrative duties and staff development.

You will train staff, coordinate scheduling, participate in interviews, and drive process improvements with the interdisciplinary team to enhance unit performance.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse Licensure (either associates or bachelor’s degree).
• BLS; ACLS, PALS, TNCC required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical staff requirements and ensure licensure and education are current.
• Collaborate with the manager on problem solving and process improvement.
• Work with the interdisciplinary team to improve workflow and ensure safe patient care.
• Participate in interviews for new applicants.
• Mentor and coach new staff; support career development.
• Review and validate department competencies and workload coverage.
• Evaluate staff performance with regular feedback and scheduled evaluations.
• Schedule department staffing to meet patient population needs.
• Maintain knowledge of clinical equipment and educate staff on use.
