Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure as a registered nurse by the Maryland Board of Nursing.
• Where applicable, completion of a BSN within 5 years of date of hire.
• BLS - American Heart Association Health Provider.
• If serving as a bilingual/multilingual interpreter, certification in Medical Interpretation is required to perform the duties of a qualified interpreter.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to patients and families as part of the health care team.
• Apply the nursing process effectively and document care in real time.
• Assess learning needs and develop individualized teaching plans for patients and families.
• Participate in QI, CPI and risk management activities to uphold quality standards.
