Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for the ICU at our Cambridge-based teaching hospital. This leadership role partners with the Nurse Manager to oversee clinical excellence, staff development, and patient care for diverse medical, surgical, cardiology, and cardiothoracic patients.

In collaboration with Dana-Farber, the role offers a flexible schedule and a culture focused on growth, teamwork, and exceptional patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's preferred.
• RN license; BLS and ACLS required; PALS/TNCC/CEN preferred.
• 3–5 years related work experience; 0–1 year supervisory experience.
• Experience with computer systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day operations of the ICU department including patient volume and acuity; addresses issues.
• Provides clinical consultation to nurses or directs to resources.
• Communicates changes in nursing practice and competency development.
• Collaborates with clinical staff to ensure seamless progression of care.
• Assists in hiring, annual reviews, scheduling, payroll, and counseling.
