Job summary

Vanderbilt Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Team Leader to blend clinical practice with administrative duties. You will onboard, supervise and provide performance feedback for Advanced Practice Providers in partnership with a collaborating physician.

The role combines clinical work with program development, quality initiatives, and personnel management for the APC team. Requires Acute Care NP or PA, with 3–5 years in APP ICU roles; CVICU and critical care experience highly preferred.

Qualifications

• ACute care NP or PA credential required.
• 3–5 years APP ICU experience preferred.
• CVICU experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Balances clinical practice with administrative duties overseeing APPs.
• Leads a team of APCs and coordinates with AP Manager/Medical Director.
• Onboards, orients, and transitions new team members.
• Provides routine performance feedback and collaborates with physicians.
• Oversees APP PTO approvals and staffing coordination for coverage.
• Supports program development and quality data tracking.
• Engages in APC education and professional development.
• Ensures optimal clinical operations and patient care delivery.
• Manages day-to-day staffing and scheduling.
