Job summary

Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals, Inc. seeks an Advanced Clinical Technician to provide designated direct and indirect patient care under licensed supervision. The role is the highest technical tier in acute nursing services, requiring advanced clinical competency and ongoing skill development across Jefferson Health departments.

You will support care delivery, apply critical thinking, and assist with onboarding of team members while promoting safe, high-quality patient care across shifts.

Qualifications

• One year of acute care or equivalent clinical experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care within interprofessional teams.
• Unit specific certification and completion of advanced clinical course(s).

Responsibilities

• Communicates effectively with the interprofessional team, patient, family, to support care delivery and patient flow.
• Performs designated direct and indirect patient care activities under the direction of licensed clinical team members.
• Maintains required certifications and competencies; assists with onboarding and skill development of team members.
• Assists with coordination of care activities and patient throughput; supports safe and efficient unit operations.
• Maintains supplies, equipment and readiness of the clinical environment to support safe care delivery.
