Job summary

Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals, Inc. in Philadelphia is seeking a Patient Care Tech II to join Jefferson Health. Reporting to the Nurse Manager, you will provide direct bedside care to patients and support the clinical team as part of a large, mission-driven health system.

The role requires rotating day/night shifts, three 12-hour shifts weekly, and every third weekend, with schedules released six weeks in advance; benefits are included in the total rewards package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• One of the following is required: Pennsylvania PCT, PA Certified Nursing Assistant or PA EMT.
• Minimum of 2 years nursing assistant, PCT or healthcare experience required. Certification and completion of advanced skills and knowledge training within six months of hire accepted in lieu of experience requirement.
• AHA BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Performs assigned nursing procedures for the comfort and well-being of the patient.
• Maintains appropriate documentation on all assigned patients, including flow sheets.
• Assists physicians with examinations and tests as needed.

Schedule Commitment

• Must be able to work rotating shifts (day & night)


• Must be able to work three (3) twelve (12) hour shifts on a weekly basis


• Must be able to work every third weekend


• Holiday commitment consists of 1 holiday per season
