Job summary

HDR is seeking an ICT/Security BIM Design Coordinator to support Building Engineering Services. You’ll work under Architects/Engineers to develop discipline models and deliver BIM content for telecom and security systems.

You'll accurately model BIM elements using the current 3D software, prepare detailed drawings, and maintain model data across project scopes. Local candidates preferred, with strong communication and organization skills essential.

Qualifications

• Technically qualified with 3D design software and document management infrastructure.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
• Basic understanding of engineering or architectural concepts.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of the discipline model, under the direction of the Digital Design, Architectural, or Engineering staff.
• Accurately model the BIM elements in the current 3D software with correct constraints.
• Prepare detailed drawings, layouts, & diagrams of the design using the current 3D software.
• Maintain the discipline model including project information, coordinates, scales, orientations, scope boundaries, match-lines, views, and sheets.
• Produce discipline specific documentation with accurate annotations on all modeling output.

In the role of ICT/Security BIM Design Coordinator we will count on you to:

• Work for a specific discipline, under the direct supervision of an Architect/Engineer, or other technical professional


• Assist in the development of the discipline model, with direction from the Digital Design, Architectural, or Engineering staff


• Responsible for assisting with the creation of the discipline model, systems, content, and overall digital delivery output for that discipline


• Accurately model the BIM elements in the correct special constraints of the modeling environment, using the current 3D software


• Prepare detailed drawings, layouts, & diagrams of the design using the current 3D software


• Maintain the discipline model including project information, coordinates, scales, orientations, scope boundaries, match-lines, views, and sheets


• Produce discipline specific documentation with accurate annotations on all modeling output

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm highly desirable


• General engineering knowledge of either the telecommunication (Horizontal/Backbone cabling and pathways) or electronic security systems (communications, electronic controls, CCTV, access control, UPS, etc.) and operational coordination with commercial hardware


• Preference given to local candidates
