Job summary

HDR is seeking a BIM Coordinator to contribute to Building Engineering Services. You will work under supervision in a discipline-specific role, helping develop the discipline model and digital delivery outputs using current 3D software.

Join HDR to collaborate with architects and engineers, produce detailed drawings, maintain model integrity, and deliver accurate BIM documentation that supports sustainable, high-performance facilities.

Qualifications

• Technically qualified with 3D design software and document management infrastructure.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and modern communication tools.
• Excellent communication, meticulous attention to detail, strong organization.
• Basic understanding of engineering or architectural concepts.

Responsibilities

• Work for a specific discipline under supervision.
• Assist in the development of the discipline model with Digital Design/Architectural staff.
• Create discipline models, systems, content, and deliver digital outputs.
• Accurately model BIM elements in the correct constraints using current 3D software.
• Prepare detailed drawings, layouts, diagrams using the current 3D software.
• Maintain the discipline model with project information, coordinates, scales, orientations, scope boundaries, match-lines, views, and sheets.
• Produce discipline-specific documentation with accurate annotations on all modeling output.

In the role of BIM Coordinator, we'll count on you to:

• Work for a specific discipline, under the direct supervision of an Architect/Engineer, or other technical professional
• Assist in the development of the discipline model, with direct from the Digital Design, Architectural, or Engineering staff
• Responsible for assisting with the creation of the discipline model, systems, content, and overall digital delivery output for that discipline
• Accurately model the BIM elements in the correct special constraints of the modeling environment, using the current 3D software
• Prepare detailed drawings, layouts, & diagrams of the design using the current 3D software
• Maintain the discipline model including project information, coordinates, scales, orientations, scope boundaries, match-lines, views, and sheets
• Produce discipline specific documentation with accurate annotations on all modeling output

Required Qualifications

• Technically qualified with 3D design software and document management infrastructure
• Competency of Microsoft Office products and communication tools
• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational traits are essential
• Basic understanding of engineering or architectural concepts
