Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Information and Communications Technology Designer for its Buildings team in Ohio. The role involves developing ICT system designs, conducting site surveys, and preparing client-aligned deliverables under supervision.

You will ensure QA/QC, contribute to professional development, and help manage project budgets. Candidates should have an accredited engineering degree (or equivalent) and at least 5 years of related experience, with knowledge of ICT standards (TIA/BICSI) and

Qualifications

• Accredited engineering degree or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum 5 years related industry experience preferred.
• Experience with ICT design within Mission Critical Facilities preferred.
• Knowledge of ICT design principles and related standards appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Develops systems designs within own discipline with minimal supervision.
• Performs site visits for surveys, progress inspections, and final punch lists as required by project timelines.
• Prepares project deliverables per the client’s intent and scope of work in Stantec's proposal.
• Follows Stantec’s quality management process; reviews project deliverables before submitting to QA/QC reviewer.
• Actively participates in the engineering/professional community to grow knowledge (attend meetings/seminars/conferences and/or write articles).
• Meets or exceeds utilization goals and adheres to project budget.
• Performs duties to assist or act as the project manager: provide input or plans to complete tasks within timeline and budget.
• Creates detailed instructions, delegates tasks, and reviews submitted work to ensure timely execution within budget.
• Identifies and reports potential roadblocks and competing priorities that may affect scope/schedule/budget.
• Develops understanding of Stantec’s accounting and project management systems.
